Every year, thousands of turtles come to Hikkaduwa to lay their eggs in the sand. The Hikkaduwa Hatchery works to protect these eggs from predators and ensure that they have the best chance of survival. Once they hatch, the baby turtles are released into the sea, where they will grow and mature. The Hikkaduwa Hatchery is an essential part of Sri Lanka’s efforts to conserve its turtle population, and it is one of the many reasons why Hikkaduwa is such an important place for turtles.

Galle Dutch Fort, Vegetable Market,Fruit Market, Yatagala Temple

The Galle Dutch Fort is a must-see for any visitor to Sri Lanka. Built in the 16th century, the fort was the site of many battles during the country’s long history. The market is a great place to sample some of Sri Lanka’s delicious tropical fruits. Also nearby is the Yatagala Temple, a Buddhist temple that dates back to the 4th century BCE. The temple is known for its stunning architecture and for its two massive Buddha statues, which are said to be some of the largest in Sri Lanka. Surfing in Arugam Bay, Unawatuna, Weligama, Hiriketiya

Surfing is one of the most popular tourist activities in Sri Lanka. Visitors can enjoy world-class waves at locations such as Arugam Bay, Hiriketiya, and Hikkaduwa. Weligama is a particularly popular destination, as it offers a wide range of beginner-friendly waves. 3 Day / 4 Day - Up country Tour

Ella, Kandy, Unawatuna

Ella was our first stop on the tour. Ella is a small town in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It’s located in the Uva Province, about 25km east of Badulla. The town is surrounded by mountains, and we were lucky enough to have clear weather so that we could see them. We also got to visit a tea plantation and factory, and we learned about how tea is made. We then drove to Kandy, which is the capital of Sri Lanka. Kandy is a large city, and it was interesting to see the contrast between Ella and Kandy. We visited a temple and saw a traditional Kandyan dance performance. We also did some shopping in the city. Our last stop was Unawatuna, which is a beach town. We spent a day relaxing on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We also went on a boat trip and saw some dolphins.Overall, we had an amazing time on our tour of Sri Lanka! – A happy customer
